Piper Mae Interior Design was founded by Sonnie Snyder in the fall of 2025 and lovingly named after her loyal companion, Piper. Inspired by the comfort, charm, and character Piper brings to everyday life, the studio embraces the essence of timeless design—rooted in natural materials, classic patterns, and thoughtfully crafted furnishings.

Sonnie is passionate about creating cozy, enduring interiors influenced by historic architecture and the personal stories that make each client unique. She believes every home should reflect the people who live in it—honoring their experiences, tastes, and the small joys that shape their daily lives.

A graduate of Iowa State University with a BFA in Interior Design, Sonnie has built her expertise through years of experience working with design firms across Iowa, including Des Moines and Storm Lake. These roles helped refine her eye, deepen her technical knowledge, and shape the holistic, client-centered approach she brings to every project today.
