When redesigning our primary bedroom, I was on the hunt for the perfect semi-vintage styled bed frame upholstered in cream fabric that would pop against the dark color of our bedroom walls. (Prelude SW 9620) During my search, I came across this beauty on Amazon and loved the soft curves and details in the legs that gave this piece a classic feeling without the harshness of wood or iron that a traditional vintage bed frame might be made of. Next on my list: a pair of warm wood nightstands that felt timeless and had a touch of personality that would create visual appeal within the space. These nightstands were the perfect option with the elegant spindle detail, a warm wood tone, and a single soft-close drawer for all my chapsticks and scrunchies. Not only is this piece BEAUTIFUL, it is also VERY good quality for an affordable Wayfair find.
Adding pattern to a room (especially on furnishings) is a highly personal thing. I knew I wanted some pattern on my curtains, but I wasn’t quite sure exactly which direction I should go. I had an image of some type of floral pattern, however I didn’t want the pattern to become overpowering or appear too feminine. I found these beautiful dark brown and cream peony patterned curtains on Wayfair and couldn’t resist! - They reminded me of the peonies that bloom in our yard every spring, except in a subtle and charming way.
This bench is one of my all-time favorite purchases! I mean, how can you go wrong with warm wood and a soft boucle fabric at the end of your bed?? And the arms…. BEST PURCHASE FOR THE MONEY!
Art is another piece that is deeply personal in any space - something that most people can relate to is a landscape. Whether the focus is on water, trees, mountains, or something else entirely, we humans can usually look at a landscape and it reminds us of some place we have been to in our lives. This print reminds me of the wild trees and terrain surrounding my great-grandparents farmhouse located in rural Iowa. The frame may not be on sale… but it does an AMAZING job of making a new print feel like it has been on my wall for several years!
