About the owner:
Piper Mae Interior Design was created and founded by Sonnie Brinkman in the fall of 2025. Named after her furry companion, Piper Mae exhibits all the elements of timeless design through natural materials, classical patterns, and high-quality furniture and decor.
Sonnie strives to create cozy and classic interiors inspired by historic architecture and all of the personal aspects of everyday life. She believes in creating a space inspired by personal experiences and characteristics that align with our individual interests.
After graduating from Iowa State University with a BFA in Interior Design, Sonnie shared her expertise in the field of design working in the industry throughout the state of Iowa. She has previously worked for design firms in Des Moines and Storm Lake, Iowa, where she grew her knowledge base and experience in the art of Interior Design.

Interior Design Consultation
You have to start somewhere! - This service will get your project off the ground and into motion. Providing the basics such as concept, paint colors, furniture layout, and basic space configuration will get you and your project going in the right direction.
Kitchen & Bathroom Design
Kitchen & bathrooms can be complex and require diligent attention to detail. A professional designer can help ease your mind and assist in making informed decisions when designing the most functional spaces in your home! Includes 5 hours of functional & efficient layouts, materials selections, and design concept.
Remodels & New Builds
Taking on a project of this magnitude can be stressful and overwhelming, but we are here to help the process go smoothly and create a home that is personal and function for your individual needs! Includes 10 hours of initial project concepts, layouts, and material selections.
Styling Services
Based on your style and inspiration, we will use a combination of your existing furniture and decor mixed with new elements and accessories to create a functional and stylish interior.
Furniture Consultation
Includes furniture layout, configuration, custom furniture & fabric selection.
Rendering Services
2D or 3D visual of interior or exterior space providing new materials & textures.
Holiday Decorating
Including Christmas tree decorating, table centerpieces, garland placement, and more - we can use your own decor and new to get you ready for the holidays!
